Time for some background….Here is a little about me and how Amy Alberts Design got started. 

I have always considered the Midwest my home.  Growing up in Nebraska, I give credit to my parents and family who taught me to lean into laughter and to always believe in yourself.

I have spent the majority of my life living in Kansas City. Living in the South, I learned just how important it is to embrace what’s different in culture and design. I have had many opportunities to work with some pretty terrific people and when I think of where it all started, it leads me to where I am now.  

Having spent many years in corporate retail and merchandising, I have extensive experience and a trained eye for balance, composition and density. I have always been the friend and colleague that others came to for decorating and designing advice. Whether it’s something small that makes a big impact, or a large scale approach with complex challenges, I have done it.  

I have a clear mission to embrace the magic in the details and there is none too small.  I genuinely love creating the foundation on which people can build memories.  I have the ability to create a strong point of interest that speaks to the individual.   I understand your space and will visualize its potential.  I am committed to find the right pieces at the right price.  You will see that my work is tasteful and targeted, using color when needed, to connect and surprise.

If I could describe one of the best parts of my work, it can be put simply, it’s the relationships built in the process.  Tastes change and evolve and I have many clients that have allowed me to continuously support their desire to create change on what’s relevant to them.

My value is creating happy spaces for people.  Seeing that smile on their face when they see the change in their home.   From Traditional to Modern, I can adjust and tailor to everyone’s taste.
